The United States does not support Ukrainian attacks on Russian territory. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre made this statement during a press briefing on Monday.
“In general, we do not support attacks within Russia,” Jean-Pierre said after two Ukrainian drones caused damage in Moscow on Sunday night.
Kyiv claimed responsibility for the attack earlier on Monday. A source within the Ukrainian military informed AFP that it was a “special military operation” carried out by Ukraine’s secret service. Russia has announced its intention to retaliate.
During the drone attack, two buildings, one near the Russian Ministry of Defense, suffered insignificant damage. No casualties were reported.
