Slightly weaker growth at OECD area

Economic growth in the area of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) declined slightly in the fourth quarter of 2018. The OECD writes this in a report.

According to preliminary OECD estimates, growth went up to 0.3 percent from 0.4 percent in the previous quarter. Annual growth was 1.8 percent, compared to 2.2 percent in the third quarter.

For the G20, growth was stable in the fourth quarter at 0.8 percent compared to a quarter earlier. On an annual basis, the G20 saw a plus of 3.4 percent, compared to 3.6 percent in the previous period.
