China: good progress with the US trade talks

China and the United States have made significant progress in recent trade talks. That said a spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. Last Friday, the two economic superpowers reached a partial trade deal that must be formally signed later.

The spokesman stated that the Americans are currently working to formally record the deal. China’s goal is to end the trade war and to scrap all rates. Beijing hopes to make progress with this in consultation with Washington, the spokesman said.

US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that the agreement with China is likely to be signed at his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Chile next month.
