Maritime service provider Boskalis has won a contract worth more than 250 million euros. The company will install export cables for the Ostwind 2 offshore network connection.
It is the largest cable installation contract that Boskalis has ever acquired. Topman Peter Berdowski is’ ‘extremely proud’ that the company is selected, according to the Papendrecht dredging company.
It involves the design and installation of 270 kilometers of export cable, which will connect the future offshore wind farms Arcadis Ost 1 and Baltic Eagle to the high-voltage substation near the German Lubmin.
The project is expected to start in the first quarter of 2019 and delivery is planned for the end of 2022.
