The United Kingdom awaits disorder, chaos, scarcity and riots as the country plunges into a “no-deal Brexit,” according to official documents published by the British government on Wednesday. The documents were leaked earlier.
The so-called Operation Yellowhammer documents were drafted on August 2, nine days after Boris Johnson became Prime Minister. Johnson said immediately after his appointment that the UK must leave the EU on October 31, regardless of whether an agreement has been reached.
In the documents, the British government warns of a serious disruption or imports across the Channel, limiting the supply of medicines and certain types of fresh food.
The hoarding of products will cause large shortages, which, according to the documents, will further increase the unrest in the country.
According to the documents that have been made public, protests and counter-protests will also lead to a serious disturbance of public order.
